Emporia Overton is a curious blend of cafe, do-it-yourself shop, gift shop, and pet store—all wrapped into one lively spot on Overton’s High Street. If you’re heading out for a relaxed breakfast or lunch with a bit of something extra on the side, this place offers an experience that’s anything but ordinary.

Visitors commonly arrive during the morning or early afternoon, drawn by the extensive all-day breakfast options and something fresh to sip—like their handmade strawberry or chocolate Oreo milkshakes, which stand out in quality compared to more generic chains. The English breakfast here is hearty and generous, making it a dependable stop for those who need a substantial start to their day or a refuel after a long local walk.

The atmosphere is noticeably vibrant and eclectic. The café space, reached through the pet shop at the front, carries a mix of quirky charm and practical warmth. There’s a casual buzz from families, dog walkers, and local cyclists, many of whom appreciate the outside garden area where dogs can relax and bikes can be parked safely in the shade. This outdoor seating, especially on sunny days, doubles as a nice retreat for both locals and travelers who want to enjoy some fresh air alongside their meal.

Emporia works well for a variety of local rhythms—whether you’re looking to pop in solo for a coffee and cake, gather with friends for a casual lunch, or bring the dog along for a welcome rest stop. The staff contribute to the down-to-earth vibe with friendly, attentive service that tends to make visitors feel comfortable and welcome rather than rushed.

Aside from the food and drink, the integrated pet shop and do-it-yourself sections invite browsing, offering an added layer of interest for those who want to swing by for more than just a meal. It’s not often you find a café where you can pick up pet treats, gifts, and possibly even handy homeware projects all in one visit.

In short, Emporia Overton feels like a patchwork of local life: a place to eat well and linger a little, refresh after a walk or bike ride, and maybe discover a quirky item or two, all within a space that feels both lived-in and thoughtfully composed. The best times to visit are quiet weekday mornings or sunny weekend afternoons when the garden space is at its most inviting.

Emporia in Overton offers a distinctive breakfast experience — far from the ordinary, and all the better for it. The café’s vibrant, eclectic décor immediately sets the tone, creating an atmosphere full of energy and character. It's a refreshing departure from the typical breakfast setting, with a welcoming vibe that adds to the overall charm. I opted for the Empiloria breakfast, which was fresh and well-executed. This was followed by a slice of hazelnut cake — rich, satisfying, and a clear highlight — along with a smooth, expertly made cappuccino. Emporia combines quality food with a lively and inviting ambiance. A memorable spot that I look forward to returning to.

Great day out walking the dog, needed a hearty hot meal and a nice rest in lovely surroundings. Emporia had it all and more! The dogs were made welcome and we had the choice of sitting inside or out side in their amazing garden. The food was great, proper English breakfast...and lots of it. Service was fast and friendly. We had a good look around the pet shop within the cafe and left with a few dog treats and a couple of gifts from the vast range of gifting.

Came in on a Friday lunchtime with my son. We ordered 2 hot dogs and 2 milkshakes. The hot and onions with tomato sauce were amazing. I managed to drop mine all down my white t shirt....oooops. My son ordered the chocolate oreo milkshake, which was better than any other from certain food chains that are generic. I had a strawberry milkshake, which you could tell had been handmade. It was sweet, creamy, and very strawberry . I was then informed that they also did the milkshakes as take away. Too tempting. Thanks again everyone.

What a great, quirky place. Pet shop at the front, which you need to walk through to get to the cafe. Outside garden, with shade and safe space for bikes. Super friendly service, and nice cakes too. As a cyclist I really appreciated the offer to refill my water bottle. Hope you go from strength to strength, you deserve to succeed!!

The breakfast was decent, but what really makes this place so lovely is the service. The lady who served us was so nice, we felt really welcome and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and this was very much appreciated. Nice coffee, good breakie, reasonably priced and a very quirky setting

This is by far my favourite cafe, normally pop in for a full english (which is amazing) but today I tried out the chicken burger meal and my husband had the 1/4 pounder meal which we both thoroughly enjoyed, very tasty! Staff are very friendly a welcoming

Had a really nice all day breakfast here. Cooked fresh and good quality ingredients. Coffee was nice too, now looking forward to trying the cakes which were getting good comments from others in the shop. The milkshakes look really good and are a very good price. (See menu) Well worth the visit, also good chance to look around the "Man Cave". Some nice fun gifts there. You might not be able to get Dad out of the shop. Give it a try! Buy local and keep it in the village. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
